What our Customers are Saying

  • I really enjoyed this Korean cookbook. I found it both educational and tasty. We frequently dine at a Korean restaurant and that helped me to understand some of the things they do there. The mandu (dumplings) and Bulgogi recipes were very good. I would recommend this cookbook to anyone looking for Korean recipes and lifestyle information.

  • (Polish Cookbook) I enjoyed reading about the Polish culture - it definitely brought a richer experience to the recipes knowing a bit of the background. I really enjoyed the Mizeria (cucumber salad) as it brought back memories of my childhood. I remember my Mom would slice the cucumbers very thin and much of the liquid would drain during the salting. Very yummy. I also had to try the Sernik (cheesecake) as I hoped it would be like the one my Aunt would make around Easter. It was not; however, it was a delicious and very rich dessert that everyone loved.

  • (South Africa) This cookbook is fabulous. I love the way it is laid out. The terms, definitions, the pictures, the recipes are well thought out and very helpful. The cultural information is an extr.a bonus.

As I was looking through the book for some recipes to try, I found that on a regular basis I make many of them. Things I grew up eating in East Texas. Just a week ago I made butternut squash soup. Then I found it in the cookbook. Same with Venison Potjiekos. This is a dish I make quite a bit.

There are several that I want to make soon.

  • (France) The cookbook is AMAZING! I have read most of it and looked at all the recipes. Loved the information and education on the ingredients as well!

I am very excited to try some of the recipes.

  • (Romania) I really enjoy cooking and feeding people, so I was excited to try recipes from another culture. It's so easy to get in a rut and just make the same recipes day after day. Thanks to social media, I had followed someone in Romania and became interested in their culture and, of course, their food!

The Saratele looked like a great snack that would also be healthy. I love crunchy things!

We also enjoy a good solid soup, especially in the Fall and Winter. The Supa de Cartofi cu Carnati was really good, especially the second day when all of the flavors had more time to thoroughly infuse the potatoes and sausage. I did add salt and garlic powder for our personal preferences. This is a great basic recipe!

Mazare cu Pui was another great recipe. I like the thought of the protein and vegetables all in one dish, simmering on the stove. Very easy to make and leave to cook while waiting for dinner time.

  • Peruvian Aztec bread: Peru Cookbook

I made this to go with chili instead of regular corn bread.

It is easy to make and the taste is wonderful. I really liked the extra creamed corn added to the bread. It gave it that extra corn flavor that went well with the chili it was served with. It looks amazing also with the red pimento in the yellow bread. The cheese and salsa gave it that extra kick of flavor. I will definitely make this again. I did not change anything in the recipe.

  • Rocotos Rellenos - Peru

This is definitely a meal for more than 2 people. I cut the recipe in half for the 2 of us. I really like stuffed peppers. This recipe takes it up a notch into an entire meal. I really liked the addition of the hard boiled eggs and peanuts. It added to the wonderful flavor. Cooking the peppers with the potatoes and eggs makes for a great meal. I can see changing up some of the meat options and making for a Sunday brunch with sausage and bacon substituted for the meat option.

  • Our exchange student from Brazil and I loved looking through your cookbook on Brazilian Cuisine!

She found many recipes that she was familiar with and made the cheese and tapioca flour bread for dinner with our chili.

Brazil is a huge meat exporter and you can find many bbq restaurants in the communities. Your recipe book had many of the sauces and condiments in the book.

It was an enjoyable experience for her.
